Since her arrival in Costa Rica, Scarlett Brebion Kelemen's interest in Latin American music has steadily grown. That's why she decided to start the recording of the "Piano Latinoamericano" series. The pieces included in this series are written either by Latin American composers, or by composers of other nations who were inspired by Latin America or one of its countries.
The first volume, an enhanced CD, includes works from Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica and Cuba, and also pieces written by Norwegian and Spanish composers. It includes as well a twelve page booklet with texts in Spanish, French and English; photos; and a video-clip based on the "Nocturno" by the Costa Rican composer Julio Fonseca and filmed at the National Theater in San José, Costa Rica.

"Audiophiles are in for a treat with the release of the first-ever compact disc of piano music by Costa Rican composers. (...) Under Kelemen's fingers, the 88 black and whites conjure almost every color a grand piano can create." Tico Times.

"It must be emphasized that this production was not released by any commercial record company and that its launching (...) is an effort of the pianist herself." La Nación.
